Please share with other drivers your experiences as to which exits are best for single travelers or anyone for that matter. Reasons for the choice may include the safety of the surrounding area, the availability of good hotels and restaurants or proximity to the interstate. Please make sure to give the exit number or a description of the location. For example, when I discuss I-40, I would recommend Exit 145 in Oklahoma City. Many hotels and restaurants were located at this exit and I felt safe in the area. This exit was very convenient for easily continuing west without the hassle of dealing with early morning rush hour traffic. Most Famous places in West Virginia USA

Soaring 200 feet above the ground, zig-zagging over a 1.5 mile long tour across a mountain bowl—is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope, it's you.
Two 500 foot warm-up zips lead to lines of 1800, 1600 and 1300 feet at heights up to 200 feet and speeds up to 50 miles per hour. And then you get to Adrena-Line. This monster is a whopping 3150 feet long and riders routinely hit speeds of 60-65 miles an hour. Most Famous places in West Virginia USA

Starting in the Rocky Mountains of western Montana, the Missouri River flows across the west and empties into the Mighty Mississippi above St. Louis. We paddle the fabled "White Cliffs" area of the upper Missouri in remote north central Montana. This stark and beautiful area was made famous by the journals of Lewis and Clark, who marveled at the unique features of this landscape in 1805. Visit this interesting and historic place and see the area much as Lewis and Clark did over 200 years ago. Call us to arrange a trip for your group today! Most Famous Places in Missouri USA

The wine tradition here reaches back almost 175 years, so you’ll find unique activities on the Hermann Wine Trail, such as touring underground cellars dug by hand before the Civil War. Some of our favorites of the seven wineries are Hermannhof Winery, Stone Hill Winery, and OakGlenn Vineyards and Winery.

The bright Kunstlerhaus Art Gallery and Pottery Shop houses pieces from more than 40 area artists; prices are reasonable. Stock up on folksy German items—cuckoo clocks, beer steins, music, Christmas ornaments and more—at Blanche’s on First Street. Most Famous Places in North Dakota USA

Here are some comments that were of interest to me when I was travelling through the USA. My research blog on extension in the USA can be accessed through my blog.

Uncle Sam country is large, diverse, the reality of democracy is masked by the strong lobby movement and each state has its own autonomy. I was stuck by the scale of homelessness in San Francisco which locals put to the better social support in the town and the flood of people searching for their break into Hollywood. Most Famous Places in North Dakota USA

White Butte as viewed from the East forms the backdrop for the Buzalsky farm. They are quite happy to allow highpointers access through their fields, as long as you show the normal courtesy of asking permission. The route to the summit heads a bit to the right of this shot, then picks up the north ridge and follows it south to the top. Most Famous Places in North Dakota USA

Since I wrote my post last night, this morning was easy as pie.  All I had to do was check out of Dakota Sioux by noon (late check-out) and then drive back north (75 miles) to Dakota Magic (N.D).But... then I thought, I am here in Watertown, S.D., I might as well go check out the town before I go and... run a few errands I have to take.

Also I have to find a new Rooster card protector, I lost the one I got in Chicago at The Lincoln Park Zoo.  So before I left my room, I called the zoo gift shop (in Chi.) and they told me, they think Target carries the same rooster figurine that they have.I hope they are right... but if not, they said they can mail me one.  The problem... there always is... I don’t know where I’ll be to receive it until I get to Seattle, WA (Oct. 17) where I’m staying with and old roommate (Casey wait... my trip could be over by then! Most Famous Places in North Dakota USA

We made an appointment for our free tour of the Dakota Gasification Company's Great Plains Synfuel Plant. A considerable amount of Eric's research involves energy, and we thought it'd be cool to check this out. (Thanks to Eric for his help with this article.) When we arrived, we actually had to wait a little bit - our guide had a very large group of people who had just finished their tour and were asking questions and poking around the gift shop. We found out later that lots of groups, especially HOAs, bus in for tours to learn about options for energy in their neighborhoods. Most Famous Places in North Dakota USA
